Letter to the Parish - Friday 14 May 2021

First published on: 15th May 2021

Dear all

This is a change to the usual clergy letter you received weekly from Gareth. We are hoping to send a parish letter from different members of the church to give you a variety of news. It has fallen on me to begin this new venture, I hope you will not be disappointed.

We have had a long hard time as a church and community, but we can look forward to new and exciting things to come as we begin to open up our church and hall to welcome those we have not seen for such a long time. Our uniformed groups are taking tentative steps to meet together again in person, and we are having more enquiries about booking the hall for groups and parties. Our Sunday School children and teachers will be back with classes in the hall and it won't be long before we can meet together for coffee after church, and, hopefully, Friday mornings and, dare I say, parish lunches!! Keep checking the notice sheet for further information and get ready to step forward with help and support when the time comes.

After the Prime Minister's announcements on Monday I hope, like me, you will be looking forward to being able to meet with more people, both indoors and outdoors. The fact that we will be able to hug our loved ones is something I have been longing for.

Stay safe and well.

God Bless

Janet
