Could you be our new churchwarden?

We are looking for volunteers to become our new churchwardens at St John's. It's a really rewarding job which involves looking after the church building and making sure it is ready for services.

We need two people to take on the responsibility when our annual church meeting takes place in April.

Many people don't know exactly what churchwardens do. Officially they are the trustees of the church and responsible for looking after many of the items inside the building. But the practical side of their role also involves preparing the church for services, helping people who attend to find seats and making sure some paperwork is up to date. They also support the vicar in the work he is carrying out.
