St John's gives food and shelter to asylum seekers

A group of ten asylum seekers has spent a fortnight living at St. John's in Farsley where they were provided with both food and shelter.

This was the second time the church has offered support to such a group. As well as providing them with beds overnight, volunteer also served up food, drinks with spare for the group to socialise in an evening.

The church worked with West Yorkshire Destitute Asylum Network on the project which saw members of the community and the congregation come together to donate their time and money to help those more needy than themselves.
